Agfa HealthCare awarded new contract with Premier for film and medical imagers

MORTSEL, BE - (HealthTech Wire) - Agfa HealthCare announced today that it has been awarded a new three-year contract with Premier Purchasing Partners, L.P., to provide film and medical imagers at competitive terms and conditions to the healthcare alliance's 2,000 member hospitals and 53,000 other alternate healthcare sites in the United States.  
 
Agfa HealthCare provides a comprehensive assortment of medical film and imagers including conventional screen film, mammography film, cine film, screens and cassettes, dry media and dry imagers. Agfa HealthCare's entire line of diagnostic film, media and imagers is included in the Premier contract. This includes its newest imager, the DRYSTAR® AXYSTM, as well as the company's entire family of imagers such as the DRYSTAR 5503, DRYSTAR 5300, and DRYSTAR 5302.  The DRYSTAR AXYS and DRYSTAR 5503 also have mammography printing capabilities.
 
Effective September 1, 2008, this agreement represents the latest progression of Agfa HealthCare's ongoing relationship with Premier and its member facilities that spans back to 1995. Agfa HealthCare also has Enterprise Image Management Solutions (EIMS) and Computed Radiography (CR) contracts with Premier.
