Dr. Nick van Terheyden brings ideal combination of technology and medical expertise

A major contributor and innovator in the healthcare technology field, Dr. van Terheyden participated in the implementation of one of the first electronic medical records in the early 1990's and later, as a business leader in one of the first speech recognition Internet companies. He is considered a thought leader and lectures frequently on trends and future needs in healthcare technology.

Dr. van Terheyden adds extensive healthcare industry experience to M*Modal. He was formerly the Chief Medical Officer at Philips Speech Recognition Systems/Philips Healthcare Informatics, SoftMed Systems and Speech Machines, helping build the companies’ healthcare strategy and thought leadership positioning. Prior to that, he was Director of Communications at Mount Sinai Medical Centre where he created and implemented the information technology infrastructure acting as the main liaison between clinicians and emerging technology.
