Society hosts NPSA booklet launch

LONDON, UK – (HealthTech Wire) - On Thursday 29 November, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain hosted the launch of two new additions to the Design for patient safety series of guidance booklets for drug dispensers.

Produced by the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA), the new booklets address the design
and layout of the dispensing area and the design and presentation of information, particularly
dispensing labels, placed on medicines given to patients. The booklets also encourage
dispensaries to simplify their process to help anticipate and prevent human error.

Attended by pharmacists, the launch was held at the Society’s Lambeth office and was lead by the NPSA’s Bruce Warner and Professor David Cousins, accompanied by Society President, Hemant Patel.
